Dr. Oliver Prescott
Psychiatrist
A second look at the medication you already take, and a slow, written plan for any change.
Dr. Oliver Prescott is a psychiatrist who sees adults who already take a psychiatric medication and want a clinician to look at the plan again, as well as adults who are starting one.
He begins with the history: what you were prescribed, by whom, for what, how long ago and how it has gone. Many people arrive with a long list and no one who has reviewed it as a whole.
Changes are made slowly and in writing. He explains why a change is worth making, what to watch for and who to call, and he asks you to bring a list of everything you take, including supplements.

Reviewing a plan you already have
Bring your medicines in their bottles or a written list. Dr. Prescott goes through each one: what it is for, how long you have taken it and whether it still fits.
Changing or stopping a medication
He never asks you to stop on your own. Some medications need to be reduced slowly, so any change comes with a schedule and a number to call.
Bring the whole list. The plan is easier to judge when I can see all of it.
Fees and billing
How a visit is billed depends on your plan and how you pay. How fees work explains each option and the written estimate we give in advance to anyone paying without insurance.
