Dr. Kyla Roberson
Psychiatrist
Long first visits for adults, and a plain account of the options before anything is prescribed.
Dr. Kyla Roberson is a psychiatrist who sees adults for a first evaluation and for the visits that follow. She is the clinician most patients meet first at Depths.
Her first visits are built around listening. She asks about your history, your sleep, your work, the medicines and supplements you take now and what you have already tried, and she leaves room for your questions before she suggests anything.
When a medication makes sense, she explains the options, what each is known to do, the side effects and risks, and what a follow-up will look like. You can take time to decide, and you can say no.

How a first visit goes
Dr. Roberson starts with your story, not a checklist. Plan on a long conversation, a few practical questions about sleep, alcohol, caffeine and other medicines, and a plan you agree to before you leave.
Before she prescribes
A medication is a decision made together after an evaluation. She explains what is known, what is not, and what the risks are, and she changes one thing at a time so you can tell what each change does.
A prescription is the end of a conversation, not the beginning of one.
Fees and billing
How a visit is billed depends on your plan and how you pay. How fees work explains each option and the written estimate we give in advance to anyone paying without insurance.
What visits cover
Evaluations for new patients
A long first visit that covers your history, your current medicines and what you want from care.
Starting a medication
What to expect, which side effects to watch for, when to call and when we check in.
Coordinating your care
With your permission, notes go to your therapist and your primary care clinician.
